Subscribe to VDOT's RSS Feeds

RSS iconRSS is an acronym for Real Simple Syndication.

It is used to distribute information and real-time updates of Web content.

RSS feeds are a quick way to allow website users to know when a page has been updated.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has deployed RSS feeds on many pages of VirginiaDOT.org and other platforms (Twitter, YouTube, etc.).

The feeds can be read by many browsers.

Pages with feeds are denoted by the RSS symbol, shown at right.

This symbol usually appears in the command bar of the browser. If the symbol is grayed out, the page does not have a feed.

Google Chrome users may need an add on, which is available at https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/rss-subscription-extensio/nlbjncdgjeocebhnmkbbbdekmmmcbfjd
